Isley Marsh and Yelland Power Stn area.

07:45 - 09:45

No sign nor sound of a Savi`s Warbler reported in Yelland testerday on Birdguides and Rare bird Alert.

A great morning did throw up 5 Grey Plovers (some in summer plumage); 1 Knot; 2 Dunlin (also in sum plum); 14 Whimbrel; 1 Ruff; many Sedge and Reed Warblers; Common Whitethroats; a Willow Warb; Reed Buntings and most unusual, a Guillemot just off Isley on the rising tide at 08:55. I`ve never seen one here before, in well over 20 years but I think there was one off the Skern not long ago.
