South Huish Marsh, West Charleton

My first visit to this location on a chilly overcast day and it began to rain as we arrived !!

Highlight were close up views of a Whitethroat on the way out.

From the hide ~ Single Snipe, Five Egrets, which kept moving off and returning, Eight Teal (3 M ~ 5 F) One Shellduck, One  Moorhen, small number of flitting Chiffchaffs, Whitethroat that was feeding directly below the hide under the windows, male Blackcap flew by several times, nice but distant views of a pair of Stonechat on the reeds, male in full summer plumage.

Small numbers of Swallows passing periodically during the visit.

On the way out Skylarks could be heard but I couldn't spot them.

On the way home Skylark both heard and seen at Sign of the Owl Cross, Wrangaton, also got some close up images of a Hare feeding in the same field.
