Bideford Southcott Valley

A surprise on my WeBS count this morning was a near adult Yellow-legged Gull roosting over high tide at Southcott Valley. As usual at this time of year there was a good flock of Common Gulls (36) but no waders. Plenty of Swallows and Sand Martins over the water and a single House Martin. In the trees behind the road a Chiffchaff and Willow Warbler were singing.
