Around the Axe

Stunning breeding plumaged Spoonbill on Colyford Marsh mid morning.

The rain had dropped a nice lot of migrants too, with various sites around the valley giving the following totals; 70+ Willow Warblers, 8 Chiffchaffs, 15 Swallow, 4 Sand Martin, 1 House Martin and a cracking male Redstart (Seaton Marshes).
