Prawle

Had high hopes for the early morning seawatch, but in the end it was very disappointing. Brightened considerably by a fine b/p Black-throated Diver, the meagre supporting cast consisted of 2 Red-throated Divers, Manx Shearwater, 11 Common Scoters and 7 Sandwich Terns, along with 100 Gannets and 365 Auks.

The 9 hour walk around was also less than impresive, the highlights being a late Woodcock, 2 Black Redstarts (including a nice male) and a flyover Reed Bunting.  Otherwise, of note, just 6 Purple Sandpipers, 7 Song Thrushes, 2 Blackcaps, 13 Chiffchaffs and 7 Goldcrests.
