Thurlestone Bay

This years spectacular passage of Little Ringed Plover just continues - today 3 birds on South Huish Marsh followed by groups of 6 & 5 making a new site record of 14. The 2 Spoonbill ( ad + 1st w ) still present - have not seen the ringed adult since 31/3 . also on the marsh - 6 Black T Godwit, 6 Ringed Plover, 2 Dunlin, 1 Sanderling, 2 Wheatear, and a nice s/pl Water Pipit, 1 db Brent Goose

In the Bay the first Tufted Duck of the year - a pair on the sea briefly with 4 Shoveler before flying up the valley , earlier another 4 Shoveler also flew up the valley,. 1 Red T Diver ( on sea ) 7 Sandwich Tern , 2 Common Tern

On T'stone Marsh this pm - 30 Teal, 7 Shoveler ( briefly )  4 Sand Martin , 1 Swallow

Finally at 17.30 light snow started to fall - another site first for April !
