Life and near death at clennon Lakes

After the 'Beast from the East,' a typical spring day but not your typical birds. Two pair of Canada Geese, one bird with unusual and distinctive markings. also a very aggressive male mute savagely attacking another male. Thought it was dead it was so limp and lifeless but a lady dof walker dragged it by the neck onto the bank where it struggled across to the other lake and swam away. Later saw it preening ite ruffled feathers looking none the worse for its encounter. Whoever said birding was boring?!!At Broadsands several cirl buntings male and female but little else.
