South Brent & Dartington.

Female Yellow Hammer on the garden feed station this morning at South Brent, over night a Barn owl calling several times. Male Brambling in the afternoon and at least three Reed Bunting around the feeders. Mid afternoon 20 Redwing passed through.

A morning visit to Dartington estate not as many birds as previously but well worth going, Green Woodpecker calling most of the time, GSWP drumming and single burst of drumming from a Lesser Spotted Woodpecker.

Plenty of Yellow Hammer, Reed Bunting and Cirl Bunting, one male Cirl singing away as image. Flock of about 60 plus Chaffinch containing one female Brambling.

Two Buzzards, Heron, Raven, Jay, Mute Swan, Wren and Dunnock.

Along the A385 between Rattery and Dartington a flock of 100 plus Redwing and closer to Dartington a flock of 200 plus Fieldfare with a few Redwing mixed in, both flocks in flight and headed north. Near Culver Lane a Lesser Black Back Gull in a sheep field with a small number of Herring Gull.
