Cattle Egret etc.

Cattle Egret at the corner of Powderham Estate (SX975828) around 4.30pm – flew off before I could get a photo. I continued up the path where there was a Treecreeper. No sign of the Cattle Egret on my return  along the path, however, going past again on the train, there were two Egrets by the flooded pond but I did not get a good enough view to confirm the return of the Cattle Egret.

Earlier Teignmouth was quiet and I did not see any “White wingers”. Dawlish Warren had nothing unusual on view except the carnage left from last week lots of dead birds (mostly Lapwing – also one dead gull and a Shelduck at Powderham) and the beach and dunes have taken a massive hit. Nice day out though!
