Warren Nature Reserve

Watched over the mid-day high-tide great views of 4 Wheatears near the hide 10 Sandwich Terns (2 diving), 12 Red-breasted Mergansers and numerous Shag in the estuary,  7 Skylarks, 2 Stonechats, c30 Brent Geese, c80 Curlew (railway seawall), 9 Great Creasted Grebes offshore from John's watch.

Stopped off north of Powderham church to look for the reported Cattle Egret in stubble field with other Egrets and after scoping the bird appeared to be Little Egret with longer pointed orange coloured bill which looked to be dirty from feeding and 2 plumes showing from the nape.

Still no sign of the Cackling Goose at Matford marsh late afternoon.
