Reeves' Pheasant

Make of this what you will, but two stonking male Reeves' Pheasants were by the side of the A396 this afternoon, between Exebridge and Machine Cross (although not entirely sure whether this was on the Devon side - probably!). I saw them as I drove by, making a change from the hordes of their commoner relative which frequent this area. I wasn't aware that these were released by landowners, so wonder where they came from?
