Wrafton, Sherpa, Velator

On Wrafton pond late morning a couple each of Gadwall and Shoveler, with at least 2 Little Grebes. Out on the flooded field one Spoonbill (see below I suspect) with 20+ Teal (no Garganey, yet) 18 Canada Geese, 2 drake Gadwall, and a pair of Shoveler. In the grass a large - 40+ flock of very mobile Meadow Pipits. Walked around Sherpa Marsh, very quiet: a pair of Wheatear, 2 calling Cetti's, 3 Chiffchaffs in the reeds. In the reserve 3 more Chiffchaffs, and several predated ducks eggs - probably badger the culprit.
