A visiting birding friend, Richard Thomas, found a Stone Curlew at East Soar this morning at 0630 hrs watching the bird at rest for c.30 mins. The bird was then re-located by Eric on the track to East Soar farm in mid-morning before disappearing from view. RM then briefly re-located the bird close to the car park at 12:28 hrs before it flew further down into the surrounding arable fields.

A cracking male Black Redstart was at the wetland below East Soar Farm.
