Upottery Airfiled, Smeatharpe

Although still very cold, the bright sunshine made birding bearable this morning and was quickly melting the overnight snow. 8 Wheatears (6m, 2f) (mainly on the weedy runway) and 49 Golden Plover (some in summer plumage) plus a hunting Kestrel were the highlights. The sun encouraged a number of skylarks to sing and at least 6 Stock Doves present.
