Aveton Gifford and South Milton Ley

The 6 LRPs remain ( 9.30 am) at the beginning of the tidal road on mud by the posts . Wary of walkers but not of cars and feeding well despite the very cold weather. I cannot recall seeing this many together in this country before . Also 1 Green Sandpiper.

At South Milton Ley the 2 Spoonbills present ( though roosting whilst I was there ) plus 2 LRPs ( others saw 3), 2 Redshank in sp , 1 Dunlin ,  I Ringed Plover and 1 Snipe. Also several Wheatears , Shoveler, Wigeon and Teal and 1 Brent Goose. In the bay at least 5 Sandwich Terns. And on leaving at 11.30am 1 saw a Blackcap pop up along the hedge.
