This afternoon there were 12 Little Ringed Plovers at Black Hole Marsh, plus 2 Ringed Plovers. As far as I can tell, this is a record count for Devon. They were still all present at 18:00 and appeared to be settling down to roost on one of the grassy islands.

Other stuff of note: female Red-breasted Merganser still on the river, 56 Black-tailed Godwits, 2 Bar-tailed Godwits, 1 Sandwich Tern, at least 5 intermedius LBB Gulls. Also, 2 White Wagtails at Axmouth Harbour.


Nine birds in this picture, but I think one is a Ringed Plover if I recall correctly!
