Thurlestone Bay

With ENE winds the passage just continues.

On Thurlestone Marsh at 16.15 2 ad Spoonbill flew in ( still present at 17.45 )- both with crests and breast breeding patch and unringed . Can anyone confirm if the Exminster marsh birds seen today , if not were they full adult and unringed ? At 17.30 a Common Tern seen over the marsh , earlier a Marsh Harrier reported. 4 Sand Martin, 2 Black Redstart, 2m Blackcap.

At South Huish Marsh - 7 Little Ringed Plover, 2 Ringed Plover, 2 Dunlin, 4 Black Tailed Godwit , 3 Snipe, 2 Grey Plover, 2 Redshank ( patch year tick ), 40 Teal, 9 Wigeon.3 Sand Martin, 1 Swallow, 1db Brent Goose, 17 Wheatear.

Offshore - 7 Sandwich Tern, 17 Common Scoter,  5 Pintail ( 2m 3f )- flew in and went straight up the valley.
