Darts Farm

A quick walk to the hide and ponds this morning produced my first singing Chiffchaff of the year. 5 were busy feeding on the island in the largest pond. A male Reed Bunting was also proclaiming his territory

Out on the wetlands 9 Shoveler (a site record) were spread around the pools and ditches. A handful of Teal and Wigeon, 2 Grey Herons, 2 Little Egrets a single Snipe just in front of the hide.

A Kingfisher was calling nearby as was a Greenwood Pecker in the distance.
