Around the Axe

Sea watching this morning showed 22 Sandwich Terns blogging, with a Red-breasted Merganser and two Common Scoter east. Several Meadow Pipits were flying in-off.

Just been out again for an hour or so, and there's now at least 35 Sandwich Terns in the valley/over the sea. Very odd to see 24 settled on Bridge Marsh - never seen so many this far up the valley before.  Also had two cracking adult summer Med Gulls fly east then come in.
