Branscombe

Was hoping for a few birds off Branscombe, but wasn't expecting to see 42 Great Northern, 7 Red-throated and 1 diver sp.!  Several of the Great Northern's appeared to be in heavy wing moult, so looks like they'll be here for a good few weeks yet.  They were in two main flocks (of 14 and 13), then the rest scattered singularly and in groups of 2-4.

Need a really flat calm 'glass-like' sea to get the full count. A White-billed would be nice!

Also this morning, opposite Axmouth FC at Boshill Cross, Water Pipit again and a White Wagtail. No further sign of yesterday's Colyford Marsh Little Ringed Plover.
