Around the Axe

Water Pipit opposite Axmouth FC near Boshill Cross best bird of this afternoon for me. Something of an Axe rarity now, which is odd considering that less than ten years ago we had a wintering population of up to 24! Also Green Sand and 37 Black-tailed Godwits here.

The two Avocets that earlier passed Branscombe have joined the bird already present on the Axe, with three north of the Tower Hide this afternoon. Haven't been round to Seaton Marshes so not sure whether the Spoonbill is still with us.
