Ilfracombe and about !

At Woolacombe, 4 Red-throated Divers were feeding just beyond the surf. Golden Plovers on the farmland above over Spreycombe Down attracted a Merlin and their numbers were getting well up over 2000 along with 100s of Lapwing.  Back in Combe as It got dark the Haggington beach / Rillage Point Gull roost was in full swing c 2500 Herring 25 Common 12 Great BB and one Glaucous Gull, looked like a different bird to the one I saw during the week way off the Pier.
