Velator

Ringing this morning produced 18 Greenfinch, 5 each of Chaffinch and Reed Bunting 2 Blue Tits and singles of Great Tit, Bullfinch, Wood Pigeon and Robin. Best bird was a Fieldfare - the first I have seen in the reserve for a couple of years. Sadly it departed without finding a mist net! Redshank and Greenshank on the scrape, and the Little Grebe in the reserve started calling this morning for the first time this year.
