12 Cattle Egrets - Tamerton Foliot

An incredible 12 Cattle Egrets (a record Devon flock), possibly even 13, still north of Tamerton Foliot this morning viewed from Allern Lane. On arrival 12 were sat on top of a hedge, next to field, viewed from gateway on first right hand bend. Also 4 Little Egrets feeding in field behind. At 10.20am, the flock then flew up, with 6 heading up valley and 6 dropping down out of sight into field . I then relocated 7 Cattle Egrets feeding in a distant field with cows at top of valley looking north from Allern Lane, and I hadn't seen any other Cattle Egrets fly by me out of original field.
