Taw estuary

Five of the local Spoonbill were feeding out on the Taw estuary this morning near Isley Marsh RSPB at low tide, sieving the water where it flowed fast and chest-deep, walking in and out of these flows and seldom standing still. Some juveniles and both site-faithful colour-ringed adults were present (from Netherlands project) but no sign of colour-ringed juvenile from this project seen here other times this winter.
