Stover Country Park

Stover Lake level is at its maximum but a great opportunity to see snipe and water rail.

80+ snipe swimming and clinging to any tall vegetation in the flooded northern marsh, 4+ Water rail, 16 goosander (6 males),

6 tufted duck, 3 pochard, 3 great crested grebes,  7 cormorant , 2 kingfisher,  <10 black headed gull, marsh tit singing,  15 siskin,  1 female buzzard.

(Visitors advised to be aware of current dredging works around the inlet channel, cycle route behind the pinetum and other islands. )
