Maer Rocks - combined totals for three visits. c2000+ herring gulls feeding off the beach but nothing of interest among them....yet. 2 eider, 1 great northern diver, 1 diver sp, c100+ kittiwake, 1 male long-tailed duck, 3 guillemot, c50+ auk sp, 2 dark-bellied brent goose, 35+ fulmar (all pale and all south), 1 manx shearwater south @ 1530, 4 common scoter and 2 scaup heading towards the river late pm. Also 20 turnstone on Maer Rocks with 10+ purple sandpiper yesterday afternoon - a personal 'highest count' for me. More details plus photos on my blog.
