Hope's Nose

Seawatch 08:00 - 11:15. Weather pretty much as at Berry Head. Heading S were c.400+ kittiwake of which c.30 1st yrs, ad little gull, 15 red-throated and 9 great northern divers, 22 gannet. Around sewer outlet were up to 100 common gull, lots of kittiwakes, 1 ad lesser back, herring gulls and black-heads. Feeding off the headland were c.10 great crests, 6 great northerns, ad female eider, 20+ shag and small numbers of auks. At least one purple sand on rocks and an oiled guillemot which later swam out to sea. A greater back killed and ate a dog fish.
