Around the Axe

The Cattle Egret left the roost in Axmouth at 07:41 this morning, and this afternoon I found it feeding with cattle and Little Egrets at Colcombe Farm, Colyton. Please only view from the Colyton to Shute road.

There's still a Yellow-browed Warbler and a female Tufted Duck at Lower Bruckland Ponds, a Grey Plover on the Axe and an impressive 45+ Chiffchaffs at Colyford WTW. That's a decent count for the site in any year, but all the more impressive because 7 days ago there wasn't a single Chiff there!
