Exminster Marshes

A Short-eared Owl was mobbed by corvids for a few minutes this morning. A Peregrine was very active, but failed to kill. Lots of Canaga Geese, Wigeon and Teal, c130 Golden Plover, hundreds of Lapwings, Curlew and Black-tailed Godwits, but only one Snipe seen. Passerines notably scarce: single Skylark, Song Thrush, Meadow Pipit, Bullfinch and Reed Bunting; 2 Stonechats, a few Goldcrests, Chiffchaffs, Long-tailed Tits and no winter thrushes.
