Exminster Marsh & Turf Locks

Late morning walk around the marsh with just the bins showed large numbers of Brent Geese, Canada Geese, Lapwing and Wigeon and a few Snipe in fields both sides of station road but no sign of the Brant . Early afternoon at Turf locks on low-tide produced large number of Golden Plover c180 settled in middle of mud viewed towards goatwalk with another similar size group flying from the large mud bar south of the jetty. Good numbers of Lapwing and Dunlin also on the mud with a few Grey Plover and a Grey Wagtail was around sleuce gates.
