Exminster marsh

Watched from 14:45 till 16:40

walked along station road upto the fishermans car park, 5 water rail, 4 stonechat , large number of wigeon in various groups around the marsh, 15+ grey plover, a group of 150+ golden plover were flushed twice by the local peregrine, large numbers of lapwing spread over the marsh, a group of 300+ Brent geese were close by the road by the middle car park and were joined by 700+ which flew in from the estuary.

waders were building up on the scrapes by the lagoon  500+ dunlin, good numbers of black tailed godwits, redshanks, and curlew.

6+ pintail, 5 tufted duck, 1 little grebe, 2 kingfisher
