The first-winter Rose-coloured Starling showed a few times today, but it is quite elusive. Walk through the churchyard to the north side and view up the allotment from the path. It seems to spend most of its time hidden from view, presumably feeding and resting in a garden behind the allotment, occasionally flying up into a tree or the hedge around some ivy clumps. When I arrived, it did actually fly out over the churchyard to a tall tree on the eastern side of the churchyard, but soon returned back to its favourite haunt behind the allotment! Also seen over the lunchtime period in the same spot were a Blackcap or two, and a Brambling and a couple of Goldcrests.
