First seen feeding successfully from a tidal rockpool at the left side of Pill mouth this female Kingfisher then flew to take up a perch on the wooden pilings of the quay from whence it surveyed for more prey...unsuccessfully for the five minutes we observed. The image is taken at about 50 metres range and heavily cropped.
