Haldon Forest Ridge

Had half a day visit along the Haldon ridge today with Rupert Ormrod. Hoped to see an odd Hawfinch but  car spaces were hard to come by however the Brambling flocks were well worth seeing (but very skittish) 150+ feeding in mixed flocks under Beech trees from Belvedere to Ideford Common. Nice to see and worth noting a 40+ Reed Bunting flock on Ideford Common to end the day.

Female Brambling - one of many across the ridge Marsh Tit at the Belvedere one of 40+ Reed Bunting at Ideford Common
