Holdstone down

An early morning walk this morning sadly didn't repeat the abundance of birds of 3 or so weeks ago, pair of dunnock 3 wrens green woodpecker, robin, high flying peregrine and a large bird of prey,  which definitely wasn't a kite but seemed too big for a buzzard and too dark a brown, but seemed to have very distinct  forward facing wingtip finger feathers. ( but probably just a buzzard). Although couldn't positive Id in books I have.
