Paignton

A look round Broadsands for the Caspian Gull this morning left me not sure if I had seen it or not.........

A couple of gents leaving just as I arrived showed me some images that they had taken of the "Caspian Gull" (the images shown were of a juvenile Greater Black Back).

The gulls were a little distant on the low tide and as I had a little person with me and the weather was a bit iffy I didn't stay as long as I would have liked. But took some images of the juvenile GBB just to show the size difference between it and Black Headed Gull, Herring Gull and a Heron that was on the water’s edge with the gulls.

Lots of Birders there so hopefully someone will post something on DBWPS and clarify if the Caspian Gull was present.

Paignton Zoo was alive with small birds, Wrens, Goldcrest, Dunnock, a small unidentified Warbler sp, a Heron, two Raven and a Buzzard overhead.

Back home at South Brent a Marsh Tit on the garden feeder.
