Some very dull and overcast weather resulted in very few visitors being at Stover Country Park early this afternoon, the female Mandarin duck is still present on the lake as is a male Goosander, both Tufted and Pochard duck in evidence this visit neither species being seen on last weeks visit, a small duck flew in which I am sure was a female Teal but unable to locate for a positive identification.

Again the feeder at the feeding station was empty and many small birds were readily coming for food on the raised viewing platform, large numbers of Great and Blue Tits present (including the white tailed BTO rung Great Tit, the ring number starts with "TT") smaller numbers of Marsh and Coal Tit, a counted 11 Long Tailed Tits, Jay, Nuthatch, Robin, Dunnock and good numbers of Chaffinch, Coot and Moorhen.
