Baggy - N.Devon

14.00 - 16.00. One might be forgiven for thinking at  distance that the bird in the photo was a Ring Ouzel or perhaps even a Blackbird x RO! But on closer inspection it becomes clear that this is a Blackbird, well I hope it is so please correct me if you think I am wrong!

6+ Stonechat on the walk out to the point & a small flock of Starling otherwise very quiet until 15.10 when Paula spotted a small dark grey bird flying fast & low across the footpath.

We searched the area & a few minutes later were rewarded with a cracking male Black Redstart followed shortly afterwards by a sighting of a female Black Redstart.

Other birds of note inc 4 Rock Pipits, a smattering of Meadow Pipits & 1 pair of Ravens.
