Berry Head

Seawatch 08:00-14:30. SSE F6-7 overcast, but the heavy rain that was forecast did not arrive. Dave Smallshire present from 08:00 saw a Little Auk and Black-throated Diver, before Bill Macdonald and I arrived.  Other totals as follows: 2 Long-tailed Skuas (at 09:00 and 14:00, may have been the same dark type juv circulating), 42 Pomarine Skuas, 4 Arctic Skuas, 2 Pom/Arctics, 14 Bonxies, 6 Great Northern Divers, Manx Shearwater, Balearic Shearwater, 15 Fulmars, Grey Phalarope, 7 Common Scoter, Puffin, 11 Little Gulls (9 ads, 1w, 2w), steady passage of Kittiwakes, Auks (mostly Razorbills) and Gannets. Interesting to note greatly reduced diver totals compared to Hope's Nose, where did they go, into Torbay?

Stopped off at Shoalstone for an hour and saw another 3 Pomarine Skuas and 4 Common Scoter crossing outer Torbay; and a smaller shearing skua, too far out to be certain of species but had the jizz of Long-tailed!
