Prawle Point

Seawatch from 8.20am to 3.15pm with Pat Mayer in SSW,later SW force 6 going 7 winds with heavy rain at times.

5 Sooty, 1 Balearic, 7 Manx Shearwaters. 6 Arctic Skuas all west and 1 Bonxie east and 1 west. 1 red-head Red-breasted Merganser. 5 Mediterranean Gulls. 8 Fulmars, 2000+Gannets and 720+ Kittiwakes, 540 auks.

Later as I was about to leave , with the wind calmer and conditions brighter, from the NT car park I saw 120+ Kittiwakes fly west close to shore in 5 minutes and amongst them at least 1 Pomarine Skua (adult moulting) and 3 other skua species, probably also Poms.( large double white underwing crescent) all shearing into the strong wind. No Leach's Petrel tho conditions seemed good for a sighting!
