Isabelline Shrike still at Thurlestone gold course.

A pleasant, mildly windy start to the day at Thurlestone gave the target speeches almost as soon as I arrived just after dawn. It showed well at a distance for some 30 minutes before other birders arrived. As previously mentioned it is on the heath before the second green hut viewable from the coastal path. Other species spotted on the walk to and from the Shrike were, Crow, Rook, Blackbird, numerous Wheatears, Stone chats, Rock Pipets, Wrens, Robins, One highlight was the passage of at least 30 Swallows heading along towards the beach. On the sea little other than Cormorants a few oystercatchers and the usual gulls, nothing out of the ordinary.
