Southdown Farm (Soar)

Lunchtime visit - amongst the Firecrests and Blackcaps 2 Lesser Whitethroats popped up, one halfway down the valley, the other near the lower gate. The second bird was a good candidate for a Siberian/Eastern race - features included pale sandy tertials and the extent and pattern of white on the spread tail looked good! Also Ring Ouzel, Water Rail and 2 Bullfinches. The Yellow-browed Warbler was reported still present near the East Soar Car Park.
