South Efford Marsh

An afternoon visit to South Efford Marsh was rewarded with the briefest view of the reported Woodchat Shrike.

Common Sandpiper 5, Little Egret 5+, Black Tailed Godwit 7, Canadian Geese 107+ not counting the domestic type goose with them, Little Grebe, Stonechat 4+.


Pied Wagtails and Little Egrets on the move over the marsh almost constantly with a Sparrow Hawk passing high overhead.

Other birders reported seeing the two Green Sandpipers subject to recent posts.
