Bowling green marsh

watched from 08:15 till 12:30

The highlight was a Great Northern Diver from the hide which I picked up flying up river over the viewing platform then it headed of north east at 11:50, this appears to be the first for the marsh.

other counts were 31 avocet, 1 turnstone, 1 spotted redshank, 250+ dunlin, 300+ redshank, 800+ black tailed godwits, 20+ curlew, 55 pintail, 200+ wigeon, 300+ teal, 30+ shoveler, 20+ mallard, 2 stonechat, 5 greenshanks, 44+ lapwing, 1 kestrel, 2 sparrowhawk, 3 buzzards, 5 jay, steady passage of starlings, jackdaw, skylarks, redwings, meadow pipits , and the first 3 fieldfare over, 15+ goldcrests, 2 chiffchaffs, 6 coal tits.
