South Huish Isabelline Shrike

The South Huish Isabelline Shrike was showing well this morning, feeding readily hawking large insects and actively chasing them along the hedgerow also very vocal at times.

Sharing the hedge with Stonechats, Long Tailed Tits and House Sparrows.

Male Pintail seen at the back of the marsh below the White House.

Meadow Pipits and five Black Tailed Godwits around the marsh.

Back home at South Brent a flock of some 50/60 Starlings in Totnes Road, smaller movement of Redwings earlier this morning around 30 birds and another 10 plus flock seen later in the day.

Home surprise bird was a White Egret that was seen from the kitchen flying across the fields above the house.
