Ring Ouzels ~ South Brent

Despite the awful weather this afternoon I made the walk out to the Avon Dam to find the Ring Ouzels reported by members of the local birding group yesterday. Once found the light was so poor that it was not possible to even make out the markings on the birds, but evenually two of them came close enough in flight for a posiitve ID, shortly afterwards nine broke cover and circled overhead before beinbg lost in the fog and mist.

Other birds inc Sparrowhawk, Kestrel, Green Woodpecker, numerous Long-tailed Tits, Meadow Pipits and Skylarks.

On the way back at another stand of berry trees numerous "Blackbird / Thrush type species" observed three of which ID'd as Ring Ouzel.
