East from Instow

Similar flock of finches, wagtails and pipits on cricket field as last week. Amongst the Oy'c's and Curlew, 1 Bar-tailed Godwit, 2 Turnstone, 2 Dunlin and about 15 Ringed Plover. In the scrub behind the next beach, even more Song Thrush than last visit, plus some Blackbirds and a female Blackcap behaving as migrants might (I see Redwing are reported from N Devon this morning!). Good numbers of showy Stonechat and Robin. 7 Meadow Pipits around the 'gas jetty', plus 2 Wheatear and 2 Rock Pipit. Kestrel feeding on a kill on gatepost was another real treat.
