Plymouth

Had a fantastic few hours this afternoon birding the trees just to the west of Ford Park Cemetery. The rain overnight definitely grounded a few migrants.

Highlights were, 2 Pied Flycatchers (possibly another), 1 Redstart (possibly another) and c.12 Spotted Flycatchers. I also had a possible Lesser Whitethroat but couldn't clinch it as I was viewing it through several branches and into direct sunlight! But definitely a smallish Sylvia. Compensation though came in the form of a cracking Firecrest in the same bush!

At one point there were 2 Pied Flies, a Redstart and 6 Spotted Flies all in the same tree. One of the Pied Flies even decided to break out into song! - which was nice.

No sign of the Long-tailed Skua yesterday. Luckily I saw it the day before.
