Exmouth

Orcombe Point - 0730 - 1130 - 1 lapwing, 3 brambling, 2+ chiffchaff, 3+ siskin, c200+ woodpigeon, 22+ chaffinch, c20+ alba wagatail, c100+ meadow pipit, 1 song thrush, 1 collared dove, 14+ goldcrest, 22 starling, 25+ goldfinch, c200+ jackdaw, 1 prob snow bunting @ 0842, 1+ swallow, 1+ coal tit, 2 great spotted woodpecker, 1 serin, 1 stonechat and c30+ skylark.

Another good morning with counts fairly rough and conservative as I covered a lot of ground this morning. The undoubted highlight was a serin that I picked up as it flew fairly low west across a nice little area of wasteground behind Sandy Bay caravan park. It may actually have come up out of this field. A repeated 'tu' was either snow or lap bunt. It was coupled with a more nasal call that I failed to transcribe but certainly wasn't like any lap I've heard before.
